(More customer reviews)I decided to try vidal sassoon brand because it is reasonably priced for a tourmaline ceraminc curling iron. Like the other reviewer, tourmaline and ceramic are the latest technology for improvements in hair heating appliances. I must say there is a difference when you buy tourmaline ceramic. I purchased this one and it worked great! The curling iron seems well made. The fingertip protector seems less prone to coming off like so many other curling irons. I'm all but finished with hot tools products. I think the other reviewer whose curling iron was defective was an aberration. I'm really pleased with this curliing iron. Vidal Sassoon was considerate enough to put to include a protective sleeve. Also, I like the multiple settings. I'm African American and I have fine hair with a curl. I recommend this product as well as Jilbere de Paris flat iron and blow dryers. Do get tourmalinie/ceramic!
